What is Invisalign?

Invisalign® is a thin, transparent alternative to braces that can help anyone who isn’t happy with the position of their teeth, whether they’re crossed over, crowded, or have unwanted spaces between them.

Once you have raised concerns with your Anchorage Dental Care about the alignment of your teeth, they will then discuss the benefits of Invisalign® with you.

Invisalign or Invisible Braces – How Can They Work?

Invisible braces, which really aren’t braces at all, are used to correct moderate tooth crowding in adults. Much like a series of aligners (retainers) that fit snugly to the teeth, invisible braces are modified slightly every few two weeks until the desired results are achieved.

Each aligner in the series is worn 24/7, for approximately two weeks, except when you eat and drink or brush and floss your teeth. As you progress through the series of aligners, your teeth move bit by bit, week after week. Generally, you complete the series of 18-30 aligners and gain the desired results within 9-15 months.

Invisalign or Invisible Braces Benefits

Invisalign® can correct alignment issues and effectively straighten your teeth. It will align your teeth into the desired position over a series of stages, usually lasting about a year in total.

Maybe your parents couldn’t afford braces back when you were a teen or your teeth didn’t bother you enough to warrant either the pain or the expense. Maybe you just didn’t want to be called “Metal Mouth” for two or more years, because you were basically a shy kid.

Maybe you wish you could turn back the clock and re-think all of this because of today – you’re not happy with your crooked teeth to smile. Problem is… you don’t want to look like a 12-year-old wearing brace.

Well… welcome to modern dentistry where you can finally be a grown up and wear braces that no one else can see! Yes, that’s right – invisible braces that correct crooked teeth and close up the gaps you’ve been staring at for years.

Want to know more about invisible braces? We’d be pleased to set up a consultation and evaluation to discuss with you in detail all the wonders of brace-less braces! Call our office and we’ll schedule a visit for you right away.

Straight teeth, no braces

Almost invisible. Great news! Invisalign treatment doesn’t require brackets or wires, only clear plastic aligners, so most people won’t even be able to notice that you’re in treatment. Before proceeding with a surgical or invasive procedure, you should always seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

The smile you’ve always wanted is waiting for you and you can get it at Anchorage Dental Care! Enjoy the comfort, convenience, look and feel of today’s invisible braces and achieve the results you’ve always dreamed of in fewer visits and a lot less time!

How Anchorage Dental Can Help

When you come into our Mindarie practice to be evaluated for Invisalign® and are determined to be a suitable candidate, we’ll take diagnostic pictures and models of your teeth. These pictures are then sent to the manufacturer for evaluation, and they’ll send us a computerised modelling showing the actual movements your teeth will undergo.

Sets of customised aligners will then be sent to you, and you’ll wear them for 22 hours per day, changing out your set of aligners every two weeks. We’ll check up on you regularly, making sure that your teeth are making the desired changes and that you’re comfortable.

Call Anchorage Dental Care today to schedule your consultation and find out if Invisalign® is the right treatment for you: (08) 9407 7888. Or, simply fill out our online form and a member of our team will get back to you.
